Terms of Service
1. The Sovereign Architecture
Welcome to ciphermeet.app. We provide decentralized, privacy-first software applications including CipherMeet (zero-knowledge video conferencing) and CipherWire (tactical voice engine).
These Terms of Service are written in plain, straightforward language. By accessing or using ciphermeet.app or its associated subdomains (meet.ciphermeet.app and wire.ciphermeet.app), you agree to these terms.
2. Cryptographic Custody & Zero Recovery
CipherMeet and CipherWire operate on a strict zero-knowledge cryptographic model. All voice, video, and screen sharing streams are encrypted directly on client devices via IETF SFrame (AES-128-GCM) before entering the network.
- You are the sole custodian of your keys: Cryptographic room keys and invite fragments exist only in your browser or local hardware memory.
- No administrative backdoor: The platform operators cannot decrypt your meetings, listen to your audio, or recover lost room keys. If you lose your room key, access cannot be restored.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use ciphermeet.app responsibly and lawfully. You agree not to:
- Interfere with, disrupt, or launch denial-of-service (DoS) attacks against our signaling servers or Selective Forwarding Units (SFUs).
- Use automated scripts or scrapers to overwhelm room allocation endpoints.
- Transmit malicious code, viruses, or exploits through signaling channels.
- Violate any applicable national or international laws.
4. Service Availability & "As Is" Disclaimer
CipherMeet and CipherWire are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we engineer our network pipelines for resilient, sub-150ms performance, we do not warrant that service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all third-party firewalls or restrictive NAT topologies.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ciphermeet.app, its developers, maintainers, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, goodwill, or communication downtime, arising out of your access to or inability to access the platform.
6. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ciphermeet.app and its maintainers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or legal expenses arising out of your misuse of the platform or violation of these Terms.
7. Inquiries & Amendments
We may update these terms periodically to reflect protocol improvements or architectural enhancements. For questions regarding these terms, contact our engineering team at admin@ciphermeet.app.
